About Eric Gottlieb

Eric Gottlieb is an undergraduate at Brown University. His research questions how writing, printing, and history all intersect. Most recently, he has published on typography’s role in creating a theatrical jazz aesthetic in plays of the late twentieth century. In addition, his work examines the role of the page in aesthetic movements ranging from Russian Constructivism to Argentinian Third Cinema. Beyond his academic work, Eric works with California’s Office of Youth and Community Restoration to cut juvenile recidivism in the state using public health-based policies.
